Hakone Kowakien Yunessun / Mori no Yu accepts guests with tattoos only under conditions set on its official website (checked 9 Oct 2026). Tattooed guests are refused in principle, but may use Mori no Yu if two of the facility's paid cover seals hide the tattoo completely, and Yunessun if covered by a rash guard; otherwise the private baths are suggested.

  • Yunessun (swimwear area): OK if tattoos are covered, e.g. with a rash guard (paid rental available)
  • If tattoos cannot be fully covered, use the private baths (8 rooms, reservation required)
